A Ranch of Healing and Hope

Quite a few years ago a couple girls started dreaming. Sharla Nightengale became very interested in horses, especially when she learned how much troubled children benefited from interacting with them. Lora Unruh had always loved children and long dreamed of having a house full of children who came from difficult places and needed extra care. These girls decided to join forces in making a difference in the lives of children with challenges. They asked a few couples from their home congregation to be their board of directors, became a non-profit organization in 2015, and Raising Hope Ranch was born! Children from the community started coming to the ranch for horse therapy sessions. But it soon became apparent there was a greater need. Parents were calling, requesting help for their families, and the girls started pouring their hearts into these children.

Raising Hope Ranch is a safe place for troubled young girls to find healing. We offer a combination of structure, professional therapy, and horsemanship. Love for God and a desire to be an agent of His healing guide us in all we do. Slowly but surely, one by one, miracles are happening, healing is taking place, battles are won, and children are returning home ready to face life with a healthy outlook.

Many people have given of themselves to make Raising Hope Ranch what it is. Thank you to each one! Most of all we are thankful to God for his direction and grace. We are excited to see where he will lead in the future.
